The (ISC)2 Baltimore Chapter was created to provide peer networking for (ISC)2 credentialed professionals as well as non-credentialed professionals and to promote professional development opportunities for members and other information security specialists within the local communities to advance the field of information security.
In November 2011 (ISC)2 granted a chapter charter petition for a chapter in Maryland. After much work on May 14, 2012 (ISC)2 approved the official charter for the Baltimore Chapter (Chapter #28).
